Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled in connection with this website (the “Site”), the personal portfolio of Mitchell McLennan (“I”, “me”, “my”). I respect your privacy and collect as little information as possible.

The short version

• The Site is a static portfolio. You don't need an account, and there are no forms that collect your data.
• I don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
• If you contact me by email, I use your message only to reply.

Information I collect

Information you send me. If you email me, or connect on LinkedIn or GitHub, I receive whatever you choose to share — typically your name, email address and the content of your message. I use it solely to respond and to keep a reasonable record of our correspondence.

Technical information. Like most websites, my hosting provider may automatically log standard technical data (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) to operate and secure the Site. I don't use this to identify you.

Fonts. The Site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser requests these files, Google may receive your IP address and related technical data, as described in the Google Privacy Policy. No cookies are set by this.

What I don't do

• I don't sell or rent your information.
• I don't run advertising, profiling or cross-site tracking.
• I don't knowingly collect information from children under 16.

Legal bases (EEA / UK)

Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, I process the limited data above on the basis of my legitimate interests (operating and securing the Site and responding to your enquiries) and, where relevant, your consent.

Your rights

Depending on where you live — including under the GDPR and the California CCPA/CPRA — you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port or restrict processing of your personal information, and to object to processing. To exercise any right, email me at mitchell.mclennan@me.com and I'll respond within a reasonable time. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

Retention & security

I keep correspondence only as long as needed for the purpose it was sent, or as required by law, and take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it.

International transfers

I'm based in New York, USA. If you contact me from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States.

Changes

I may update this policy from time to time; the “last updated” date above reflects the current version.
